The Laguna Beach Democratic Club is committed to raising awareness and support for progressive causes and the Democratic Party agenda. We are an all volunteer organization. Memberships dues provide funding for our efforts to elect Democrats from Laguna Beach to the White House.
Annual memberships are $35 per person and are valid through the calendar year. You can pay your 2024 dues right now!

What does it mean to be a member?
A member has paid the $35 membership dues for the current calendar year and is a formal part of the Laguna Beach Democrats community!
What does my membership give me?
As a member, you can:
- Cast a vote in club decisions, as long as you have attended at least 1 meeting prior to the vote
- Serve on the club’s board (if elected)
- Get involved with the county and state Democratic Party (e.g. by serving as a representative)
- Access a fantastic community of passionate Democrats!
Why are members important for the club?
- When large groups call for change, decision-makers are more likely to listen. Having many members boosts our power to elect Democrats and advance other progressive causes.
- The more members we have, the more representation our club gets with the county and state Democratic Party.
- Money matters in politics, and membership dues are the financial lifeblood of our club. The funds we collect through memberships increase our impact. For example, we can give more money to candidates, use new tools for organizing volunteers, and create local campaign headquarters.
What does it mean to be a member in good standing?
A member in good standing (or MIGS) is a registered Democrat, has paid the $35 membership dues for the current calendar year, and has attended at least one club meeting in the current or previous calendar year. MIGS are allowed to vote in formal club decisions, such as electing board officers or allocating club funds.
What does it mean to be a home club member?
As a member, you can make the Laguna Beach Democratic Club your “home club.” The more home club members we have, the more say we have in party candidate endorsements. Only one Democratic club can be your home club. You do not have to be a Laguna Beach resident to make Laguna Beach Democrats your home club!
